I build the boring
parts very well.

5+ years of writing servers and microservices that shouldn't fall over. I care about clear data contracts, observable failure modes, and letting the next engineer sleep through the night.

I prefer small, legible services over clever abstractions, postgres over magic, and shipping the imperfect thing on Tuesday instead of the perfect thing in November.

Most of my work lives behind someone else's polished UI — payment rails, real-time pipelines, and the quiet plumbing that turns messy requirements into predictable throughput.

Outside work, I'm a cinephile and motorcyclist — though if I'm being honest, a fair chunk of my time goes to watching cats do things on Instagram.

Architecture, system design, and the hard trade-offs come from my head — the data model, the failure modes, the long-tail edge cases, the way the pieces have to fit together. That foundation is mine. AI sits in the layer below it: Claude Code, Copilot, and a small zoo of agents I spawn for codegen, refactors, spec-to-implementation passes, and the dull parts I'd rather not type. I treat them like capable juniors — useful, fast, occasionally wrong, always reviewed. The blueprint is me; the polish is them.
